As a result of her marriage, Doddington Greville was styled as Countess of Manchester circa 19 February 1690/91. From circa 19 February 1690/91, her married name became Montagu. As a result of her marriage, Doddington Greville was styled as Duchess of Manchester on 28 April 1719.

 William Montagu, 2nd Duke of Manchester was born in April 1700 at France.1 He married Lady Isabella Montagu, daughter of John Montagu, 2nd Duke of Montagu and Lady Mary Churchill, on 16 April 1723.2 He died on 21 October 1739 at age 39, without issue.1

William Montagu, 5th Duke of Manchester was born on 21 October 1771.3 He married Lady Susan Gordon, daughter of Alexander Gordon, 4th Duke of Gordon and Jane Maxwell, on 7 October 1793 at Eaton, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.4 He died on 18 March 1843 at age 71 at Rome, Italy.5

Lady Susan Gordon was born on 2 February 1774 at Gordon Castle, Bellie, Perthshire, Scotland.2  
She married William Montagu, 5th Duke of Manchester, son of George Montagu, 4th Duke of Manchester and Elizabeth Dashwood, on 7 October 1793 at Eaton, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2 She died on 26 August 1828 at age 54.1,3

  She was the daughter of Alexander Gordon, 4th Duke of Gordon and Jane Maxwell.1 As a result of her marriage, Lady Susan Gordon was styled as Duchess of Manchester on 7 October 1793. From 7 October 1793, her married name became Montagu. 

  Cokayne writes that "it is mentioned in the Memoirs of a Highland Lady, under date 1812, that 'the Duchess had left home years before with one of her footmen.' Lady Jerningham wrote, 6 September 1813: 'the Duchess of Manchester is finally parted from her husband, her conduct becoming most notoriously bad'.4 "

George Montagu, 6th Duke of Manchester was born on 9 July 1799 at Kimbolton, Huntingdonshire, England.3 

He married, firstly, Millicent Sparrow, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Robert Bernard Sparrow and Lady Olivia French Acheson, on 8 October 1822 at St. James, Westminster, London, England.3 He married, secondly, Harriet Sydney Dobbs, daughter of Conway Richard Dobbs and Charlotte Maria Sinclair, on 29 August 1850 at Kilroot, Templecorran, County Antrim, Ireland.3 He died on 18 August 1855 at age 56 at Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England.3

  He was the son of William Montagu, 5th Duke of Manchester and Lady Susan Gordon.1,2 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Commander in 1822 in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) She married, firstly, William Drogo Montagu, 7th Duke of Manchester, son of George Montagu, 6th Duke of Manchester and Millicent Sparrow, on 22 July 1852.2 She married, secondly, Spencer Compton Cavendish, 8th Duke of Devonshire, son of William Cavendish, 7th Duke of Devonshire and Lady Blanche Georgiana Howard, on 16 August 1892.3 She died on 15 November 1911 at age 79.3
